Kay L. Koehler is a third generation artist, having participated in shows with the works of her mother and grand mother. Kay graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Advertising Art from Kutztown (PA) University. Her background includes many years working in the graphic design business while, at the same time, pursuing her painting career. Her training has afforded her the opportunity to work in various creative aspects of the printing industry.

 

Kay was an art director for a package design enterprise; did advertising agency work for nationally recognized brands; designed large custom exhibits and displays; and worked in the wall covering industry. She served as studio manager for an internationally recognized wallpaper manufacturer, working as a graphic designer and designer of wallpaper book covers.

In addition to her career, Kay continued her art education with classes at York College of Pennsylvania attended art classes and workshops with respected regional artists and internationally recognized pastel instructors.

Kay is an award winning artist, having been accepted into many juried shows in the South Central Pennsylvania region. Kay also served on the board of directors and was art education director of the York (PA) Art Association. Since moving to the Lewes/Rehoboth Delaware area, Kay has joined the Rehoboth Art League and has begun to show her work in that area.

Kay currently resides in the Peninsula, Millsboro, Delaware with her husband, Steve and their adorable cavapoo, Reggie.
